Diagnosing Plan

1.‎‎‎‏‏‎ ‎Examination

The first step is usually a physical examination by a healthcare professional. They will assess the patient's medical history, ask about the symptoms and the location of the pain, and perform a physical examination to check for any visible signs of injury or inflammation.

2. Imaging

If the examination does not provide enough information, the next step may be imaging tests such as X-ray, CT scan, or MRI. These tests can help identify the source of the pain by providing detailed images of bones, organs, and soft tissues.

3. DIAGnostic injections

In some cases, diagnostic injections may be necessary to determine the exact source of the pain. For example, if a patient has back pain, a diagnostic injection may be used to numb a specific nerve root to determine if that nerve is the source of the pain. If the pain is relieved with the injection, it can help confirm the diagnosis and guide further treatment.
